Kate & Michael

This wedding is what a Chicago winter is all about: grey skies, a bit of snow/rain mix, and a stiff martini at Gibson’s Steakhouse to warm you up from the inside out.

We started the day at the Viceroy Hotel, where the vibes were high, and the glam was in full effect. Makeup was done by Joey Claeyssen, and hair by Erin Graham. The girls were buzzing all around, and planner Kirsty from Everlie & Co. kept us all on track. Kate slipped into a beautiful Allison Webb dress, and soon after, Michael came up to see her.

After taking some portraits at the Viceroy, we headed to the church, stopping intermittently to snap a few more couple shots. The ceremony was beautiful, and as we peered outside, snow began to fall softly around us. When we stepped outside, I captured my favorite shot of the day—the couple walking out of the church, snow flurries still swirling around them. We quickly boarded the bus and headed to Gibson’s Steakhouse, where they partied the night away with 130 of their closest friends and family. It was a beautiful day and an even more perfect evening.
